My love,
There is a form of lucidity within you that I didn’t have before you came. My world was a series of mirrors, reflecting only my own obsessions. I was like a child. You were in this strange world of objectivity, full of things and plants. You spoke to me for the first time and said, “I know what you’re looking for.”You were my exact opposite, like someone was tearing apart my hipbone and it was standing in front of me. After that, there was no coming back to the ancient world.
My landscape is populated by your pieces. It has the smell of love. I can barely talk with the others about it. Someone might be able to discover my entrails. Push me in the grass so I can stay alongside you. I wore lipstick so your eyes would follow my mouth in the dark. Like a rose bursting and blooming, screaming “love me” with a voice it will never have.
“The flower that you love is not in danger. I will draw you a muzzle for your sheep. I will draw you a railing to put around your flower. I will−−”*
Your beloved
